i have a minolta dimage xt and uses scandisk memory card 256 mb. i thought i deleted all pictures in memory but when i put the memory card on the usb port to my computer, its saying that there are 330 pictures but i don't see those pics, could it be that there are other folders on my memory card that needs to be deleted? how do i delete those pictures? thanks!
Try this:
Your camera should have a FORMAT function for the menory card. Use that, and you'll be sure to wipe out all picture files.
Another way, using your computer:
Go to My Computer...pick the Drive that your memory card is on (you should see a folder or two)...right-click the folder (a menu appears)...click Delete (and confirm that if asked)...and repeat for any other folders.
That should do the trick!
Another way might be, instead of selecting Delete, select FORMAT (using the computer yet) instead. Maybe Minolta cameras recognise computer-formatted cards, but some cameras don't (my Nikon tends NOT to).
