Help Please!

I just bought a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD101 off of ebay, and it doesn't turn on. I charged the battery and when I push the "Display/Battery Info" button, the LCD comes on as says that the battery is 100% charged. Nothing else will work on my camcorder. Is this a battery problem or a camera problem? Please help me!
