TV will not turn on

I have a JVC AV56P575 TV, while watching the TV, it turns off, I unplugged it and then plugged it back in, the TV makes a clicking sound, the blue power light comes on and then the tv cuts off. Can you tell me the part/s that I need?

Chago- I'm having the exact

Chago- I'm having the exact same problem with my JVC 56P575, have you found a way to fix it? I've been looking around and heard something about replacing the capacitor, what have you done?

There are a few capacitors in

There are a few capacitors in the main power supply that can cause this problem.  These capacitors go bad because they are slightly under rated.  You may be able to find them by looking at the tops of the capacitors in the main power supply and see if any of them have the tops of the capacitors that look swollen a little bit.  sometimes they will show this and sometimes they will not.  you will need an ESR type capacitor meter and know how to unsolder and solder.  If these capacitors say they are rated at 25 volts, upgrade to at least 35 volt rating.  If they say they are rated at 50 Volts, upgrade to 100 volts.  Good luck and let us know if you get the set fixed.
