My RCA Tv set displays only a vertical video line (3/4 in wide). Audio is OK. The TV (36in sccreen) is 11 yrs old. The problem started a few weeks ago. In past the video returned after some time the TV was ON or after a knock to to external enclosure. This time video does not return. The video stays within the 3/4 vertical line.
I'm having the exact same problem. This TV is a ProScan (RCA) 32". If you find anything out,please let me know... I'll do the same.

My proscan is a 36 inch the problem started about a year ago and is intermittant. I have heard that the focus block my be the culprit but that was from an unreliable source good luck i wonder if it wouold be better to scrap the television.
