MY JVC GR-D22U LCD not displaying image during recording

Hi, I have a JVC GR-D22U model camcorder. Today morning i started recording some of my kid's funny things. The camera is working fine in play mode. During record mode,
1. LCD is not showing the image.
2. Even i remove the lens cap, the screen is showing the lenscap for 8 seconds.
3. It is showing the low brightness display icon on the screen.

Could you please help me to rectify these problems?
