I have a 27" Magnavox tv that won't shut-off. When I try to shut it off the picture goes fuzzy and the closed captioning box comes on. The picture is also distorted on some channels. Any ideas? Can it be fixed for a reasonable price?

Try unplugging the TV for about 4 hours and plug back in. Re-verify the problem.
It's always unplugged over night and we still experience the same results when it is plugged back in.
