Sony 37" tube tv model kb35xbr48 power on prob

I have a large heavy sony that is less than 10 yrs old. while on one day it went off and noe power on does nothing. no internal lights etc. I hate to replace but did not know if this tube tv is worth repairing. prob is it fits cabinet and new models do not. any one have ideas if repairs to these tube tv's still an option. or is it something I can trouble shoot myself?
