Open Sesame?

I own a Denon DVM-1800 5 disc CD/DVD changer. Something is broken and the machine won't respond to any commands via the button on the front or the hand control. It's probably junk but the 5 discs locked inside are not. Does anybody know how to open the carousel of a disc changer that isn't responding to stimuli?

Not familiar with the device,

Not familiar with the device, but if you think it's junk, have you tried removing the screws and opening up the changer to see if you can get your discs? Obviously, make sure you unplug it and be careful...

Thanks, Ron. That is, in fact

Thanks, Ron. That is, in fact, what I did after checking that my warranty period was over anyway. So when I opened it up I found Disc 4 of The Simpsons 6th Season wedged in at an angle that was preventing the carousel from moving. If there was a method of opening the carousel w/out power it probably would not have helped in this situation. Disc and changer are both fine and recuperating comfortably before they go back into service. Thanks again. We all should remember that just because our machines are complex the so;utions to their problems are not always.
