I have a RCA F36673ET 33 big screen tv. It started making a high pitched noise and the picture does not come on. The picture fuse is not blown. What else should I check?
According to various sources, high pitch noises are usually a result of the high voltage autotransformer flyback coil. Replacement of this part usually solves the problem.
I have a 36" RCA F36673ET tv. It has been making a high pitched noise for sometime. I generally will lift up on the antenna jack at the rear of the TV and this will correct it for a very short time. I have also found that once it has been on for a few hours it seems to give me less noise trouble, but picture will continue to be some what snowy. I have found the sorce of the problem and have initiated correcting it, however I'm a little unsure as to what connections on the TV Tube itself I'm able to remove with damaging it. My goal is to remove the main circuit board so that I'm able to correct what I feel is a cold solder on the Antenna jack.
