Help me! I have a Hitachi projection TV with a hole in the screen. I have ordered a new screen assembly, and would like to install it myself. Does anyone out there know of any problems I can expect. Or am I on easy street?
my 43" hdtv big screen went haywire on me,the convergence was all out of wack.It was apretty much green and like pink, and the magic focus stops when it gets to the green part of it,(during the magic focus part) and then at the bottom right hand corner a "5" appears does or has any one ever had this problem,if so can you tell me how to fix it or what to do please? In need of help jonathan12
The convergence IC's most likly need to be replaced and or resoldered. This is not a job for the hobbiest unless you have solder and unsoldering experience. If you do not, play it safe and call out a tech to asist you in this repair. If you have some solid state repair experience, your going to first need to get a service manual for this set, find the IC,s and replace them. You may also have other small problems that the IC's caused when one or both of them failed. Could be open pico fuses, open or blown out resistors, or capacitors. In some cases the IC's, when they go, will take out the power supply regulator. After you make sure the circuit is working correctly, you need the manual to follow the alighnment to the letter, or you could be here all day trying to figure it out. Good Luck, and let us know how you made out.
My screen turned blue and the repair man said it needs a converter. Anyone every tried replacing one of those? Does anyone know where I can buy one?
