What is the model camcorder you have, and the make and model of the battery that you bought? Where did you buy the replacement battery?
MATT
THE MODEL OF CAMCORDER IS RCA AUTOSHOT CC6364
THE BATTERY DURACELL 6V
BOUGHT IT AT WALMART
Sorry, I'll need the model # of the battery too. Duracell makes many different 6V batteries.
MATT
DURACELL DR10
6V-2100mAh
4F17GT
Okay, the DR-10 is compatible with your camcorder. That's the first thing I wanted to check.
If you've left the battery charging for a complete cycle, yet it remains uncharged, my best guess is that the camcorder cannot charge NiMH batteries like the DR-10. Your camcorder may only be specifically designed to charge NiCd batteries.
You should try purchasing an new battery charger that specifically states it can charge NiMH batteries, or return the battery you have and find a NiCd equivalent.
