I have a motorola v400 without the manual. When I am talking the other party can't hardly hear me. I have tried turning volume up while talking and tried different settings. I know it's simple, I just don't know the steps for this phone. Can someone please HELP me!!!

I don't actually think there is anything you can do. Adjusting the volume on your phone would only make you hear them better, not the other way around.
The only things I can think of for you to do is move to an area with better reception, and/or speak louder and directly into the phone's mic.
Perhaps you can ask the receiving party to turn up the volume on their handset.
