Son threw up on DVD player

My poor son was not feeling well and ended up throwing up all over our 6 month old dvd player- i opened it up and cleaned it all up .. dvd spins and I get audio, but no picture. Prior to the incedent, when you powered up the player, a blue screen would show, now I only get gray lines on the screen. CAN IT BE FIXED??? appreciate any comments
