My son cooked a perfectly good VHS player by using a 12 AC outdoor lighting transformer to power the unit up from 120 vac house current. Feeding 12v AC into 12v DC did not work well. I've had unit apart looking for a fuse--No fuse. Can anybody give me a list of parts I could try to replace to maybe fix this machine? I am not capable of testing --have no test equipment--maybe its just one part that would get cooked by doing what we did --or could it be a whole bunch of cooked items ????? Many thanks
