iPod feature(?) when playing podcasts

I don't know how many others are incorporating podcasts into your MP3 listening habits but Apple is certainly making it easier to find and subscribe to them with the latest version of iTunes.


Anyway, I think I found a new feature on my iPod and wanted to see if anyone else is aware of this - maybe I'm just slow on the take.


When I have multiple podcasts on the iPod (mini in this case), I find that the iPod keeps track of where I am in each podcast if I switch back and forth in the middle of a 'cast. I found this by accident when I clicked the "Next" button while listening to a particularly long podcast and was frustrated thinking that I would have to find my place again when I clicked "Back". When I did click back, it picked up right where I left off. At first I thought it was a fluke but I have tested it many times and it seems to be a new(?) feature.


Anyone else know about this? I can't seem to get it to work with music.
