Forgotton the V-Chip Password

The instructions for resetting your password are on page 21.

I went there and i didnt understand how to do it.

These are the instructions that I gathered:

Press MENU to access MAIN MENU screen.

Press CH UP (8) or DOWN (9) to move the '*' mark to 'PARENT CONTROL'.

Press VOL '+' or '–' to access PARENT CONTROL mode, then press VOL '+' or '–' to access V-CHIP select mode.

Press and hold both VOL (+) and CH DOWN (9) on the TV set simultaneously until the message 'INPUT SECRET No.' disappears.

Press MENU two times to exit.

It disapears and but channals are still blocked.

Follow the instructions as shown, but make sure you hold down the VOL+ and CH DOWN buttons on the TV, not the remote control.

I go through the menu and do all that when the Input Secret No. comes up i hold the CH down and VOL + button and then it disapears but channals are still blocked.

Not sure what else you can do but call Sharp's customer support and see if they will help you.

A long shot might be to hit the 'reset' option on the video menu. It's supposed to just set the video controls to the factory defaults, but maybe it might reset the V-Chip too. Worth a shot anyway.

On my sharp I entered into the

'INPUT SECRET No.'

and held down vol (+) channel (+) on tv

and it worked. it brought me into my perental setting and i unblocked everything thing and set a new code (tho that was pointless)

my tv sharp 14' tv model is 37AM-12S .i forget password .now i canot enter the tuning mode

i lost my manual. now tv wants password sharp model no 21F-PR3751
