Shoes are the next gadget?

With Adidas introducing the Adidas 1 it seems like we'll have to create a whole new geek category for what they call "intelligent shoes".

Of course there have been electronics wired into clothing before but this is very cool - shoes that adapt to you and your surroundings. I might even find a way to justify spending $250 on a pair except that apparently you need to change the batteries every so often! Boo!
