hallo to everyone! I have a canon powershot s500 and the "valve" (I don't know the exact term) that protect the lens and close when you turn off the camera doesn't work anymore. It simply stay open; it happened one windy and dusty day, maybe some dust went inside and obstructed the mechanical part. Do you have any suggestion?
Please help me! It's a friend's camera and I have to give the camera back in a few day!
Thank you in advance!

Please help!!!!
Are you sure that your battery is charged? Sometimes if it doesn't have enough charge, the shutter won't close.
No, the battery is fully charged; when I turn off the machine the shutter move just a little bit but nothing more.
I doubt a lens cleaner would help. You unfortunately probably have to have it serviced.
