Panasonic DMC LC33 lens problems

I can turn on the camera and even get the monitor but everything is black in the monitor and the pictures. I think there is something wrong with the lens and isnt recieving any kind of picture information. How do i remedy this problem?

You have tried moving the images to the computer to see if they are black, rather than just try to use the camera's LCD screen. It may be possible that camera snaps pictures okay, there's just something up with the LCD.

i was hoping to avoid that..

i was hoping to avoid that...i know its going to be costly..hard to find a cheap digital repair man.

Try Panasonic's service

Try Panasonic's service center. They might be able to give you a quote on how much it is to fix before you decide what you want to do. Some manufacturers will even offer an upgrade to a new refurbished model with trade in of the older device if you think it's too much to fix. Worth a call anyway...
