Hello Connie, this is Francis

Hello Connie, this is Francis.

Please check you TV Front Screen Panel and see if the LED red light is on(working).

If the LED is not no(not working), maybe the TV set internal power fuse could have been blown.

If you are not technical, get someone to open up the TV by switiching off the power first and change the fuse.

Thank you very much.

Did that fuse good, checked

Did that fuse good, checked tv with meter and it has power from the chord in back of tv and it ends at the 2 little tub like things near the chord then it stops. Help

I have the same problem with

I have the same problem with my RCA- the picture at first didn't come on (sound is good) now it will come on and go off. Sometimes comes back on and sometimes I have to turn the TV on and off several times. Sometimes it stays on and sometimes not. Can the LED fuse problem be the same as Connie's Sony problem?

I have had some what the same

I have had some what the same problem with a brand new 32" LG Flatron TV. The TV keeps dying.
This will be the 3rd time in 8 months my TV is going to the repair shop!
They have replaced transformers, flyback and now they want to replace the chassis.
I have been looking on the internet for days on some kind of site for repairs or feedback on this problem or even make of TV....can't seem to find what I'm looking for. If anyone has any input on this problem please let me know.

If this really is the 3rd time it's going in for repair, you may be able to push LG for a replacement. I have experience with many LG televisions, and this isn't a common issue. I'm not promising you that they will replace it, but after 2 times, you certainly have a shot. If not, wait it out. If it dies again, you'll have much more leverage.

Matt,
I have tried to get a replacement set from LG, also tried to get a credit back at the store where I bought the TV.....LG has been nothing but a pain in my A** over this whole thing!
Their customer service sucks!
As far as this not being a common issue...I too have checked many places to see if others have had this problem with LG TV's....I seem to be the only one. I have told LG this along with the fact that I have had no TV for over a month the 2nd time it went for repair and now 3rd time going on 18 days! I also had to take a day off work with no pay to wait for a service tech to come to my house to pick up the set again today. LG's responce to all of this is "I'm sorry you feel that way miss"
Great service.....NOT!

I feel your frustration.

I feel your frustration. Unfortunately, 2 times down is incredibly irritating, but hang in there. As long as you are under warranty, you'll get a functioning product in the end. Wait this repair cycle out. A chassis replacement is almost like getting a new TV, so wait and see what happens. After 3 times down, you'll be in much better position to make demands. Just hang in there for now, and let us know how it goes.

If you do decide to take on LG, don't speak to the first customer service rep you talk to. Always go a few levels up the chain to make your case. And remember, don't lose your cool on the phone. You're much more likely to get your way when you are calm and collected, than when you're flustered and yelling at whoever is on the phone. I'm not saying that you have yelled at anyone, but even I want to scream at these guys when I don't get my way.
