the tv recently started showing as a horizontal band about 3" wide in the middle of the screen .My wife being the tech that she is hit the tv which restored the picture .unfortunately this was shortlived and the problem reoccured.does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong(other than my wifes troubleshooting techniques)and is it worth the repair money wise?
According to another post in the community, you should consider resoldering or replacing the veritcal IC. If you are not qualified to do this yourself, you will either need to have it repaired or replaced.
