I have a 32" Sharp television which was purchased new in 2001. The picture and sound are good. The tv began having a ticking noise about every minute for a 5-10 minute duration when first turned on. Then the set was normal. Now, as soon as the set is turned on, the ticking is continuous like a gatling gun and does not quit. The picture and sound are still good except for the effect caused by the ticking. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

An authorized Sharp service center will be able to give you an accurate diagnosis after looking at the product in person. At this point, it doesn't sound like anything you'll be able to fix yourself.
