i am trying to hook up 2 dvd players,a vcr,and a stereo there are vcr input1,bridgedoutput,video2 input, system video3 input, text graphics,hi-fijack,tvin,tvout,selected output, system audio, then right in the middle of the tv in the back ther are 5 slots they aRE CONV,IN1,IN2,IN3,TUNER
Okay, we still need to be more specific. Also, please try to type your responses in a manner that is easy to read. I can't help you if you can't help me. :-)
Let's break it down by device.
TV: Are CONV and TUNER screw on type jacks? Are IN1, IN2, and IN3 jacks the yellow/red/white plugs? Do any of the IN jacks also have a round plug with 5 little holes in it? Is there any red/white or yellow/red/white jack labeled "OUT".
Stereo: Narrow down the number of labels to jacks that are only red/yellow/white plugs? Which ones are they?
TV source: Are you going to be connecting a TV antenna, analog cable, digital cable, or a satellite box to the TV?
THE CONV AND TUNER ARE SCREW ON TYPE JACKS, THE IN1,IN2 AND THE IN3 ARE THE SCREW IN TYPE JACKS AND NONE OF THE IN JACKS HAVE A ROUND PLUG.THERE ARE 2 RED,WHITE,YELLOW OUTPUTS,1 FOR THE TV,AND 1 THAT SAYS SELECTED OUTPUT,I AM USING ANALOG CABLE NO CABLE BOX
If I'm reading what you've said correctly, then you're saying that your TV has the screw on type jacks for the CONV and TUNER, as well as screw on jacks for the IN1 through IN3. Are you sure that the IN1, IN2, and IN3 jacks on the TV are not the yellow/red/white plugs?
Since your television dates back to the mid 1980's, there will be no generic wiring diagram available for you. However, we will still be able to help.
Can you describe the different jacks on the back of the TV? Or, can you snap a digital photo and e-mail it to me?
Can you be specific about what devices you are trying to connect to the TV?
