Be careful what personal information you submit to the forums

We've noticed that a few members have opted to provide their telephone number(s) when submitting a question to the forums. Even though only registered members can post to the forums, they are a public space available for anyone to read. There are no set rules about information you wish to share with others, but be careful about what information you make publicly available. Though we have not yet received a member conduct complaint, we would like to express our concern for the safety of our members.

We recommend that you keep information like your home address, telephone number, and etc. private when contributing to the community. If you wish to initiate contact with another member, it would be safer to exchange personal information via e-mail. Please keep in mind that information submitted to any public space will not be censored.

If you submit something you wish to remove, you can do so by editing your forum or discussion posting by clicking on "EDIT POST" in the upper right hand corner of your posting.

Membership in the TechLore Community does require us to gather a small amount of personal information such as e-mail address and date of birth. TechLore promises to keep all personal information gathered during these processes strictly confidential, so please do not ask us to provide an e-mail address or any other information about another member.
