I bought an Apple AirPort Express because of its capability to receive audio from iTunes on my laptop, USB print server, elegant packaging, and (relatively) low price tag given its feature set.
However, I can only get it to work if I plug it into a wired network first, and then make it go wireless. The reset button doesn't seem to make it go clean. Any experiences?

Luck with AirPort Express?
I was able to configure it using a laptop with wireless access, although I had to download new software from Apple first as the packaged software was not compatible with Windows XP SP2.
