T.v. powers up but no screen.I was told by repair shop that it needed power supplies.I do not have a schematic for this set and have no luck finding schematic. Can any one provide some suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. The t.v. model #is VS-70VF2
Sorry bud, I do not have this manual or even see this model listed. Are you in the US? How old is this beast? Is it the complete model number?
Hey Larry.Yes It is a Mitsubishi VS-70VF2. Serial# is 000816 Dec 1992.Yes I am in So Cal.What about you? I really want to fix this thing.I am lost without a schematic and can't recognize parts because this is not my trade any help would be great!
I will look for this again through some buddies I have in the repair biz.
Thanks Larry I appreciate your time!! I would also like to learn how to test caps? I do some HVAC trouble shooting, but this looks a little more complicated!Thomas.
Yes it is as well as some equipment or testing devices you will need as well. One would be a desent ESR type capacitor meter. as well as a good muti-meter , digital or analog. And a knowledge of how to read a schematic or a circuit diagram would also help you. A good understanding of how electronic circuits work should also do the trick for you.
I have a fluke True RMS multimeter. What would you reccomend for a esr type?
Some flukes have a capacitor checker built in but it is nit a true ESR type meter. The ESR test capacitors in circuit if they are discharged. ESR means equivalent series resistance, which is the undesired internal resistance that appears in series with the wanted capacitance at a given frequency.
Ok Thanks let me know where I can get a schematic once you talk to your buddies in the repair shop.
I dont know what was wong with me bud. You can get a manual from HERE
Thank's for the info I will look into it and get back with my results.
