The fault is no remote control on a philips 26pf4310 remote control is transmitting tv not responding . any ideas??
Tested remote by viewing the infra-red transmitter, through a camcorder. The led led flashed ok. Any ideas of fault? Any particular panel I should check?

The most common reason for this is bad connections at the infrared receiver within the TV. This is a small 3-pin metal cased part on the front panel assembly. Try resoldering this first.

I have not yet tried to fix it. It's my son's tv, the tip sounds spot on, I will try to do it.
