I have a Sony Projection TV (KP57WS500) with a bad picture tube. Tech said Sony stopped manufacturing this part.
Any suggestions on where i can buy one????

I did check all TV part stores with no luck. Apparently stores don't have them anymore because sony discontinued the manufacture of the picture tube.I was just wondering if anyone has any idea where to get an after-market one???

Well, I don't have good news. I checked with the center and they had some of the blue CRTs but ended up using them. They no longer have any. It turns out that they need a few themselves now. Sorry I couldn't help this time.
Sear sell lots of sony TV parts, give them a call or check on sear online.

I'll check with the TV guys at the service center. They sometimes end up with extras. I'll update you ina few days.

Tube # is written on the tube itself on the inside glass.
The tube number is 8-733-647-35 and as of 6/29/06, the tube is no longer available. I will still check for one at the center.

I also checked today with two authorized Sony service centers, no luck as well. One had a green tube but thats all they had.
