china make TV

Dear Friends!

please help me.

i have a china make 14" Color TV. This TV is assebled in pakistan with the name of Nobel.

i need to have a schemetic diagram of the main board so that faults could be rectified and componets tracking could be carried out. i mean i need to have all the electronic circuitry details of the main board.

the main board reads as under:

E193577 002

12-1478-03

3142102

Model: DCL-1478.

the company that assembled this TV does not have that diagram.

any similar board would do that and serve the purpose.

waiting for your early response.

Take care

Sorry Friend I have been a

Sorry Friend I have been a bit busy lately.  Your set is what is called a label TV set.  In other words, some company has made this set from a asortment of available parts and put differant names on the TV set.  I have never heard of this brand of TV set.  A set such as this may be able to be traced if it had an FCC ID number on it, but it is highly doubtfull you will find one of those on it.  I'm sorry to say, to get a schematic, as you stated, even those who assembled the set does not have a service manual or a schematic diagram, is going to be next to none.  Good Luck, and let us know how you made out.

I am indeed very thankful to

I am indeed very thankful to larry who atlast responded.

will this number serve the purpose. its written on the TV main board. whats it?

any way! actually i want to repair my TV set i am an electrical engineer and intrested in electronics.

initially what happened that my TV went in standby mode and did not become active. luckyly the fault removed by its own i dont know how.

one day there was a sharp hissing sound from the fly back and the TV went dead on power up.

now when i power it up its dead. there is no high voltage charges on the high voltage wire of flyback (i mean the cap that is sucked and fits behind the CRT.

i traced the AC circuit. it is live at various points but near flyback there is no volts either AC or DC.

I just wish to seek your help larry how to start about treking the faulty component as still i could not identify the faulty component. which could be the suspected faulty component near flyback which prevents from energizing the LOPT circuit.

looking for your response at the earliest.

take care.

The first thing to do in this

The first thing to do in this case would be to find the horizontal output transistor.  it should be close to the flyback trasnformer oops the Line output transformer, on a metal hesink.  Unsolder that puppy and see if it is shorted with a VOM.  If it is shorted most probable, the Line output transformer is bad.  i thr eason i say this is that you said you had a hissing noise once when you turned on the TV set, and the set went dead right after that.  There is a possibillity that just the Line output transistor shorted and the fly is good.  best way to stiop the line output transistor to not short out when you replace the bugger, would be to take out the main AC fuse and insert across the fuse a 100 watt light bulb on some clips and wires.  If when you turn on the tV set abd the light glows bright, the line output transformer or something else in the circuit is bad.  If the light bulb glows bright then goes low wait a few seconds and see if the TV set comes on.  If it does the oicture will not be that good till you put back in the fuse.

It's a cheap 14" TV set.

It's a cheap 14" TV set. Throw it in the trash. That's exactly what the manufacturers who built the thing decided you should do with it when it breaks.

thanks larry!

i shall try that and will let you know about that further!

hey!

i shall act upon your advice once all the excersises go down.

any way! its not just the economics and cost but its my hobby to set, diagnose and rectify by myself. thats how one gets learning.

again thanks larry.

take care
