I have the same issue with a Sony KV32S36. The cable company swears it has nothing to do with their cable. I also noticed on mine that the on screen menu displays "Video 1" or "Video 2" when that is in use, it comes and goes. I am probably going to take it to service center and have it checked as I am not getting any feedback.

I think you should trade cable service, for Direct tv, or Dishnetwork,cable is not worth it.
