My toshiba TV model MV19MM2W doesnt show a clear image instead it shows a horizontal and Vertical lines when turned On .Please help e to diagnose the problem and how to fix it (DIY)
The foldover is most likely a bad capacitor in the sweep supply that feeds the vertical circuit, or a waveshaper capacitor in the vertical sweep circuit, or even possability of a bad vertical output IC. There are nor user replaceable parts with this TV set. Everything is solid state and soldered into place. These are parts that most of the time you cannot tell if the parts are bad without special test equipment. If you do not have an ESR Capacitor checker and a service manual, you would be better off taking this VCR/DVD/TV set to a local TV repair depot. There is not any software for this tv set the software is called firmware and is built into the microprocessor and never goes bad Whom ever told you that did not know about this set.

My 32 inch Toshiba model 32AF43 has a no image just a blackish screen & no sound at all what could be the problem?
No picture AND no sound? Did something happen to it to make it stop working?
Assuming that all of your connections are correct, probably best diagnosed by a service center.

I have a 65' toshiba and the picture is really wavy! I was told it could be the capacitor is colapsing. Does that sound right?
