No signal

I just acquired a Sony KV36FS12 television which was operating perfectly when I picked it up. Once home, I powered the T.V.on and I get a "No Signal" message. I know I have a good cable signal out of the wall because it is the same connection that I used for my previous T.V.with no problems at all. Could I have jarred something loose during transport? My DVD unit operates through the T.V.perfectly. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Double check the cable line

Double check the cable line going into the TV set first.  I can not count how many times I was called out to a customers home with a no signal condition and found the middle or signal wire inside the connector was bent over or broken off, and there was no signal at that location.  Also if there was never a TV there or not right before you connected this Sony TV set, take another set, put it right down along side the sony, and hook up that wire to the other set that you take off of the Sonyy TV.  I have seen where one location was working for the cable amd another was not.  If all that looks good, you may have a bad connection somewhere on the printed circuit board or in the tuner itself.  I have seen intermittant tuner problems alot in these models of Sony.  Bottom line is if you have no solid state repair experience, play it safe and if need be, please call a trained tech out to assist you in this repair.  If you need an owners manual for this set, Please go HERE.  If you need any assistance, please contact us and ask.  Good Luck, and please keep us informed about this TV.
