Im so sorry man , didnt mean to upset you. I was trying to ask for a model number. And how long has it been sitting? There are alot of Phillips 55" TV sets and all have differant circuits.
Do you see a chassis number? As there could be a power supply kit. Thats what it sounds like. Or the Horizontal output transistor is shorted. Do you have any solid state repair experience?
The chassis number is DPTV335. Serial number is YA1A0345040418. I have solid state experience but I have no schematics. I have desoldering equiptment and high voltage probes and meters. I would consider getting a new circuit board but is was assembled in Mexico and they assigned their own part numbers and no other info.
Sorry, but there are no other numbers anywhere that correspond to the ones listed by you. Thanks for your help. I'll call phillips and see if they can help.
A chirping sound could mean that the main power supply is being loaded down by a short in the set somewhere. the first place I would look, would be the horizontal output transistor. See if it is shorted. if it is, get the exact replacement, take out the line fuse, and jump across a 100 watt light bulb. if the set then goes on and plays ok then there is no other problems in the sety. if the light flickers or glows bright, there is a short , most lily the horizontasl output transformer, also known as the flyback. also check all of the secondary supplys on the secondary of the flybaclk transformer. The vertical output iC could also cause this complaint. The regulator circuit could also have bad capacitors or a bad regulator drive IC. Good Luck
No such model as a Plillips 55. I once had a 55 Chevy!
If i wanted a comic I would go to a club. This 55" phillips is sitting in my garage.
