Hey Doc, I've seen your posts and appreciate you generously sharing your vast knowledge.
Here's my story. Purchased a Mitsubishi 55" TV (WS55513) in Dec. '05. Been great until recently. When turned on, picture is a little 'warbley'. After about a minute it clears up. I suspect it may the the PIP module (as you have previously mentioned) but wanted to clarify. I don't use the PIP much at all, nor any of the other 100 fancy functions. It's really just a TV for me. I do have a Technics A/V receiver patched in for DVD, but it doesn't seem to affect the warble. I'm still under (extended) warranty and would like to address the issue before it becomes a post-warranty problem
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.
If your still under the warranty my freind, have the servicer replace the module entirly if that is the case. Although in your case Im thinking a bad power supply capacitor. good Luck and please keep us all informed of your mprogress with this repair, Oh by the way, the extended warranty will most likly pay for itself with just this one repair.
Dr. Dillon,
Thanks for all the great advice for those of us the like to tackle these issues. I've recently started experiencing the same 'warble" problem listed above. I'm a fairly good do-it-yourselfer with electronics and am willing to give this one a go. I can't seem to find any previous threads with this issue. Plz advise on the next steps to take.
Thanks in advance!
