A problem is probably in the main board and or in the display board called the Sustain boards. This set is a nice set and I would for sure have it checked out as it could be just a loose connection on a cable or a plug. These are not the types of sets you want to experiment with. It can cost you big bucks if you distroy something by accident. Let us know how you made ouyt please and Good Luck
I have almost the same problem I have a phillips 52 inch i have sound but no picture could it be a fuse or do i need to push it out the door it was manufactored in 1994 PLEASE HELP It has alot of different numbers on it not sure which one to use.
Thanks Mommy32
Mommy, you set does not sound like a plasma set but a tube type projection set. The fact that it has no picture but sound, would indicate that there is a video fault somewhere. I seem to recall ,that when the vertical sweep fails on these sets, the video blanks out so that the picture tubes do not get a line burnt into them. It is a solid state set and It is over 10 years old. Me? If it was my set, I would make landfill with it, but by all means you could pay someone like 200 bucks to fix one problem, and boom next week something differant goes wrong and your in the same boat your in now except 200 bucks poorer. See my point Mommy32? Go out and buy you and the family an early Holiday gift. Good luck
would that cause the projector lights not to work
Ok thanks for your help
