After tv has been on for 20 minutes a buzzing sound is heard and it gets louder, and without interruption, the longer the tv is on. It is really annoying. Can anything be done prior to having someone come out to fix?

Is this buzzing sound coming from the speakers or eminating from the TV itself?
Also, what's the model number of the set.
sounds like from the speakers, but not sure - model is AV-27FA44
Is it a buzz or a low frequency hum? If it is, its going to be a bad filter capacitor, and or a bad audio output IC. This is, Im sorry to say, not a job for the user, as there are no user replaceable parts inside this TV set. Please stay safe and call out a technician to service this set for you. This may sound funny, but to me it sounds like crickets chirping. it stop sometimes during a scene change in the program.
Do you know how much those parts cost and is this repair worth it?

It sounds like the PS switching transformer is singing. That's a common problem when you've got a buzzing type of sound that changes with brightness levels on the screen but this is merely a guess. You really need to have that looked at by a pro.
