I just received my NIB Sharp LC-37SH20U. It powered up initially with just the coax hooked up, but then I turned it off, plugged in my XBox and DVD player and then tried to turn it on again. No luck. Power light goes on and then about 3 minutes later it goes into standby mode (blinking green light...1,2,3, pause 1,2,3 pause) Buddy says it needs a software upgrade. Is he right? Any other ideas. MNF only 1 1/2 hours from now!!
If its new my friend, CALL the dealer you got it from. Do not I repeat do not try to upgrade, repair, fix, adjust, or do anything till you speak to where you bought it from! I would tell them to bring you or deliver you a new set. Good luck and please keep us informed on the progress of this.
Take it back and get a new one.
Thanks guys, only problem is I bought it on Ebay. Seller is willing to take it back and exchange, but he only has the same sets and is worried his whole lot faces the same problems now. Sharp says they will send a tech out. Seller will refund if this fails. Any idea if Sharp will replace if they can't remedy?
Yes, the warranty states that if the set fails, sharp at their expense will repair and or replaxce the set at there discretion.
