I have a Toshiba 32AF43, 2 years old. Now when I hit the power button it make a noise like it tries to turn on but the screen stays black. I'm clueless concerning TVs, anything obvious I can do to repair it? I am mechanically incline, I can use a multi-meter, but I don't know electronics. THANKS IN ADVANCE
This problem could be a bad power regulator IC, or even a bad connection somewhere in the regulation sections of the main power supply. Without a schematic diagram, and or some voltages, anything said would be a complete quess on my part. Please if you have no Television repair experience, refure to a trained tech to assist you in this repair. Good Luck. Please get back with us and let us all know what you had to do, or what the repaired person or servicer had to do to get this set working again.
Larry, my wife came runnin to get me, said the TV came on! All I know is she is happy, and thats all that counts. I'm clueless and happy too. THANKS
