i have a panasonic model number ct-35sf23u chasis number aedp268 vertical output transistor has a hole in it changed ic afraid to plug it in because i think one of the power supply capacitors must be bad. dont have a schematic sams doesnt list it . cant trace it out, get lost in the circuit runs. i think the b+ is on pin two of the vertical ic. anybody have the print to tell me what caps to check?
The schematic and service manual is available as a download HERE. It cost about 23.00 or so. if you need more assistance after you get the manual, Send me a copy of the said circuit, and I will be more then happy to assist you with this. Good Luck, and please keep us posted on the progress.
I have a Panasonic model #ct-36g34a i got in 2000 and one day we were watching tv and the picture and the sound quit you can here a little bit of static for a few seconds the noting at all.is this a major problem?
If it comes on for a second with a bit of static, thats an indication that the problem you have is in the main power supply regulation circuit. If you do not have any repair or solid state servicing experience, please stay safe and seek out a trained tech to assist you in this repair. It could be this common repair kit but im not sure of the chassis you have. See the kit here. Good luck and let us know please how you made out with this set.
I downloaded the manual, it told me where the electrolytic caps where also found an open 1.2 ohm resistor in the middle of the line not the normal one by the diode.changed the ic and, its fixed! Thanks for the help, Tom
Patio, glad we were able to assist you but did you see the repair bulliten on your set about the power supply mod? See it Here.
