I HAVE A RCA 2217 MP3 PLAYER WHICH I DOWLOADED MUSIC FROM THE COMPUTER. WHEN I PLUG IN THE CABLE AND TURN ON THE SPEAKERS I CAN HEAR THE MUSIC. BUT WHEN I PLUG IN THE CABLE IN THE COMPUTER AND PUT ON MY HEADPHONES THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE MP3 SO I CAN HEAR THROUGH MY HEADPHONES, I CAN'T HEAR ANY SOUND THROUGH THE HEADPHONES.
HELP. I AM NOT ALLOW TO USE SPEAKERS AT MY JOB, BUT ARE ALLOWED TO USE HEADPHONES.

I AM PLUGGING THE HEADPHONES INTO MY MP3 PLAYER
Unplug the usb port from the computer. Some units will not let any headphone sounds through the headphones while it is connected to the puter, only let it play through the computer.
