RCA BD20TF10 - TV DVD comb, won't change color quality

Hi

I just bought this RCA BD20TF10 TV-DVD Combo.
When playing a DVD, there's no way to change the quality of the color which appears dark and red. There is a display settings in the DVD menu, but you can't find the way to do it. You can do that in TV mode, but the preset won't stay when changing to DVD mode.
On the other hand, the Glossary menu describes how to do that from the Display menu, but the option is not there...
The instruction book doesn't say anything about it either...it's so strange
Any ideas? Feel free to email me direcly at

You should be able to adjust

You should be able to adjust the image controls for the TV in DVD mode. It probably holds them seperately for each source. Just be in the DVD mode when you try to adjust the image controls. For more on how to adjust these controls, check out the article "How to use your TV's video controls".

Hi Matt,Thanks for your

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your comment.
The point uis that when in TV mode I CAN adjust that, but when in DVD mode I CAN'T. There is no option in the DVD menu to do that. At this point I think it's malfunctioning.
It just makes no sense.

It's always frustrating when

It's always frustrating when they make the same button on the remote do 6 different things, depending on what mode the TV is in.

According to RCA, the TV does not save picture settings by input, so a global standard dictates what the image will look like. You can assign presets to 1 of four profiles for later retrieval.

When you adjust the image to your preferance, save it under one of the profiles available. It's possible that when you switch to DVD mode, it goes to a default or last used profile. Call up the correct profile when in DVD mode, and you should be set. If that's not possible (again, the manual is very vague) call up the correct profile in TV mode before switching to DVD mode.
