I HAVE A JVC MODEL #AV-56WP30. THE PICTURE AND SOUND WORK FINE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE GREEN COLOR IS SAGGING ON THE TOP. IT LOOKS LIKE IF YOU COULD REACH IN THE TOP AND GRAB THE GREEN AND PULL IT UP IT WOULD BE OKAY. WHEN YOU GO TO CONVERGE YOU CAN LINE UP ALL OF THE WHITE CROSSES EXCEPT THE TOP LEFT AND TOP CENTER. THE BLUE AND RED WILL LINE UP, BUT THE GREEN IS WAY OFF.

You are going to have to replace the two convergence ICs at once, as they each have three amps built in to them. They are stand up IC about 3X2 inches, and are black with white lettering on them that start with STK. They stand up on a metal heat sink. One handles the blue vertical and horizontal, and also the green vertical. The other IC handles the red vertical and horizontal as well as the green horizontal. You see the blue and the red need correction because they are on the two outside tubes of the in line mounting of the picture tubes. The green is in the middle, there for most manufacturers adjust the green as a stationary color and does not need any sort of correction as the red and the blue are controlled and corrected to alighn with the green.. These are solid state sets and if you have no printed circuit board experience, please seek out the assistance of a trained tech for this repair, as a TV set is not a place to be experimenting with. They are about 90 bucks a pop. The number on them is STK-392-110. You can get cheap replacements, but they do not hold up and do not let anyone tell you anything differant. There are the Japan made parts and the ROC(Replublic of China)/korea made parts. The Japan made parts are the original parts. The JVC part number is AV-N65P74/HA. Now please remember, these parts are soldered into place and also you willl need heat sink compond on the heat sink or they will go out again. You should also get the service manual so you can follow the service mode alighnments to the letter. You can really mess up a set if you try to do an alighnment without it.
