Three Philips Consumer Electronics TVs have the same symptoms and the same model Number and chassis's. Model 32PT543S37G, Chassis L01.1UAC. All are from a bar that had a video cable plugged into the front video jack located on the right side of the unit. The picture one day (not at the same time for all the TV's) didnot appear. The power light stays green but no picture or sound. This went on for up to two months, then finally one of the employees informed me the procedures used to get the picture to finally appear with sound, which took upto 20-30 minutes for each tv. The channel up then down was being pressed for up to 20-30 minutes, and the power on after the unit would shut down, which happened more often in all three sets until, now the units do not come out of the black screen, with no sound. I have not located a schematic for sale of for free for these TV's. Philips web site has not been any help. Does anyone know how to aquire a schematic!!!!!!!!!!!!
Johnnyboy101, I have seen this problem with these sets in the past but not an easy repair. I had to change the painter ic, also known by most techs as the microprocessor IC. A flatback type. Howard Sams (sams photofacts) has a downloadable service manual for under 30 bucks at
http://www.samswebsite.com/photofact/... Good Luck and please let us know how you made out.
Thank you for the tips. I will get the schematic and post an update after I get through them. One set I am pretty sure the horizontal circuit is not correct, but I will check out the micro. Thanks again.
