Need help. I just bought a Zenith tv/vcr combo. the tv works great nice picture. but the vcr spits the tape right back out???? I know these are junk but I only paid $4 for it. Still would like the vcr to work for out little guy. All helpful info appreciated.
The Tape is spitting out because the unit for some reason, will not fully load the tape. When a tape is taken into a tape carrage assy, the mode switch when the tape id fully loaded will tell the unit it is ok to proceed, but if there is a broken gear on the tape carrage assy, or there is something inside the deck unit, preventing the carrage to reach its loaded state, or the units is out of timing, the unit will throw back out the tape. Now if you know how a tape mechanism and loading system works, you should be able to tell why the tape is not loading all the way. If you do not then Im afraid my friend, you will be limited to something blocking the tape holder from closing all the way. This is most likly why the owners gort rid of the set, as now days most likly it is not worth repairing, as I saw in a big super store, they had VCR TV 13" combos at a blowout of 69.95.
