I have cable TV and My 42" Sony WEGA TV was working fine, then no picture - just a blue screen with sound still OK. The power light in front is green; the manual says it will flash red if projector lamp goes bad. Also switching channel to non-cable gives me usual static reception (not a blue screen) Any suggestions?
What model of TV set and how is the cable connected through the TV set?
It's a KF-42WE610 42 in LCD Rear-Projection TV ; and the cable cord is just from the wall into a Comcast receiver box then another cable cord out to my input on rear of TV.
Ok need to know what input of the TV set please. Is the VHS/UHF input, or the scart plug lead or are you using the Yellow, red, and white inputs?
I think its called coax cable; it's like 1/4" round black cable that screws into TV; a copper wire is in the middle of it. It's just 1 line and connector going into my TV that the cable guy installed.
AKrascal, It sounds like the TV video past the tuner circuit went bad or the cable box is bad as it has no video. The best way to test this would be to hook up a VCR to the input of the tV set where you have the cable box connected, or hook up another smaler TV set there and see if the cable box is good. Let me know how it turns out. Also if you do not have a owners manual or the light changing manual or any setup manual for this set ,several of them are available for a free download at http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/mode...
