I had a 50hx81 given to me that has a convergence problem but I
don't have the owners manual or service manual ,can anyone help?

Hey Larry! My name is Kris. I am having a convergence issue as well. But i own a Toshiba Cinema Series #61A62

I managed to get 1-6 lined up but 7-9 is all out of wack. Do you have any tips/advice on how to reset or line up 7-9? Even if you could get me into service mode or a service manual would be great!!!

No im sorry my friend, i do not have the service manual but you really should get one if your going into the service menu, as its goes step by step and tells you in proper order of the way to do the adjustments. You can get a servicemanual most of the time at http://www.servicemanuals.net and your problem sounds like a convergence IC problem and that means the two convergence IC's should be replaced. If you have had experience serviceing TV sets it should not be a big deal for you. If you havent had any then a TV set is not the place to be experimenting around in.
