While watching the Philips 28dw6743 tv which is 6 years old it went bang. Now nothing works on it, not even the light indicating power. I have changed the plug fuse to no avail.
Is it worth getting it repaired, or even taking to get the repair shop look at it?
Mosy likly not. these sets are good for the horizontal output transformer blowing up and taking out the power supply with it. These sets most of the time will cost between 135 to 225 to be repaired. Its time im thinking to get a new set, unless of course you want to spend the est. fee. Let us know if you got the set fixed and Good Luck
Following you very prompt reply I have decided to buy a new set. seeing the possible cost involved in repairing it.
Any reccomendations for a 26-28" HD tv with freeview etc?
