Panasonic DMR-E75V DVD Video Recorder

HELP! I have copied a VHS
tape to DVD but cannot figure out how to "finalize" it so it can be played on other DVD players. I wrote Panasonic 3 days ago and still have not received any step by step help...Anyone out there have knowledge of this?

Can you provide the model

Can you provide the model number of the DVD recorder you used? What kind of blank DVD did you use... the possible options are DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM?

PANASONIC VIDEO RECORDER DMR-E75V AND I USED

Unfortunately, Panasonic does

Unfortunately, Panasonic does not have a manual for your model available for download. The only recorder I found that had a manual was the DMR-HS2, so hopefully the operation is similar.

To finalize a disc, press function on the remote. Select Disc Setting and press ENTER. Then choose "Finalize Disc".

Your unit may be different, so take some time to explore all of the menus and options for the DVD recorder on your machine (make sure you're in DVD mode, not VCR mode).

Also keep in mind that just because you finalize the disc does not guarantee it will play in other DVD players, though it should.

I purchased this machine back

I purchased this machine back in 2004 at Sam's Club,it also came with a bonus 10 disks..No problems with it so far and I use it quite often.

One point of caution, when your disk is just has a couple of minutes left on it to record,at that time finalize it or you won't be able to if the disk fills up.

My collection of VHS's is huge and I would like to buy another one of these recorders as a backup

I have a PANASONIC VIDEO

I have a PANASONIC VIDEO RECORDER DMR-E75V . When I turn the machine on, the video section of the machine comes on and works no problem. There is no display from the DVD section - no lights, no functioning. It is almost like the power is not connected to the DVD section of the machine. Could it be a fuse? Please help.

Cheers

Suddenly I can not play home

Suddenly I can not play home recorded, non finalized DVDs. Machine does however play pre-recorded DVDs. I can not figure out how to put in service mode to see if I can fix it.

Any suggestions? Machine is: Panasonic DMR-E75V
Thank you.
