Want to write an article for TechLore, but need help?

TechLore is a site that is only as strong as the community members that support it. I've found that many have great interest in writing about their experiences or opinions for TechLore, but aren't sure where to start or feel intimidated by the articles already on the site. As Editor of the community, We'd like to extend an open invitation to help anyone who wishes to write an article for the community.

The electronics space is huge, so the things to write about are virtually endless. Given the vast array of topics, anyone who wishes to bounce an idea off of us first will get our personal feedback and assistance.

Also, many out there may or may not have formal writing skills, and are hesitant to submit anything to the community because they feel it's not good enough, or may have some grammar mistakes. If this is your only hurdle, we're also here to help with that, too. We're more than willing to preview, correct, and make comments on an article before it is published to the community. In fact, this ability is already built into the site, but we're willing to help through any reasonable means.

Here's some ways to get help from us:

  1. Write an article for the site by clicking on the "Articles" button in the top nav bar. If you're logged in as a verified member, the option to "Submit a New Article" will appear on the right side in the box (near RSS Feeds and Recent Threads buttons).
  2. Once you create your article, press preview button to view it before I will see it. Press the edit to make any changes. Once done, press the "submit" button.
  3.  Pressing "submit" will not make the article visible to the community, but to a special place that goes to the editorial staff for preview. A member of the TechLore staff will type comments in italics at the top of your content item or reach out to you via Private Message, and if necessary, send the article back to your draft folder. This can be accessed by clicking on "My Library" under "My Account" in the nav bar.
  4. If you would prefer to submit your article as a document from a word processor, you can submit email the article to us. Please contact us through the feedback page for details. Please be sure your spam filtering or bulk mail settings will allow you to recieve e-mail from "techlore.com" and "capablenet.com".

If you have further questions about submitted content to us, please post your comments in to this forum thread or contact me via private message.

That would be great. Please feel free to reach out to me if there's anything I can do to help you. Please note that I've just updated the instructions above in regards to how you can submit an article.

Looking forward to it!
