My Sony wont turn on. It's flashing red 3 times. I see it says it's (OVP) over voltage protection. On the power supply circuit check T603, and R672. What are they, where are they, and how do I fix them? Can someone please help?

T603 is a transistor or transformer? and R672 is a resistor the numbers refer to the location on the board. Search for these components in the service manual. A model number would help.
Thank you. I kind'a figured that's what they were talking about. So I imagine I need to find them and replace them. It always sounds easy enough? The model # KDS-R50XBR1. Do you have access to a service manual?
Just curious where did you get the error code from? 90% of the time the solution they give you for the error have nothing to do with what's actually wrong with it. I have a source for manuals but not on my iPhone. Have you looked in the Technicians corner?
I got the error code on line. I did look in technicians corner. I didn't see anything for my model. I called Sony as well, that wasn't much help. They told me it was the lamp or the lamp door. I just put a new lamp in and the door was secure. I actually checked them both multiple times.
That's what I just found in the service manual for that error code. There is a switch on some models that would get hot from the bulb and warp so that the door doesn't make full contact with the switch,my suggestion would be to look at it closer.

Really it says it's the door,huh. Well, I've been screwing around with the door, and the switch that shows the door is closed. No luck. Thank you so much for all your help! I'll keep at it.
